Support Children and Young People (SCY) is the first local NGO in Cambodia that is giving Cambodian children and young people the opportunity to participate in media advocacy.

SCY was establihed on 1st August 2003 by a former leader of the Cambodian children volunteer working group.

SCY has established the "Youth Today" program, which is a sort of TV magazine which aims to provide young Cambodians with opportunities to have their voices heard by a national audience and to get their concerns and interests across to a wider audience through the ongoing process of a Youth TV Magazine project.

We believe that children and young people can make the society change through their commitment, participation and voices. SCY will be working more effectively and will achieve greater impact because we are learning from each other and benefiting from the support of the group of young reporters.

Vision:

A lot of children and young people in Cambodia do not have opportunities to get involved in media activities, this means they need extra help and chance from all of us.

Mission:

At Support Children and Young People we devote our efforts to children and young people who need our support in order to develop their potential as a full right of participation that is laid down in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

SCY will give opportunities to children and young people in Cambodia to raise their concerns, speak out their voices and interests which will be heard by young people and the general audience, including decision-makers, all the way through our media programme.

SCY is gathering and broadcasting all the information of the situation of children and young people throughout the country via the Youth Today's program which is aired by a popular TV station in Cambodia called CTN every Sunday morning.
